Sleep Apnea affects more people than you’d think. It happens to many, and they go undiagnosed, and people do have the symptoms of sleep apnea that can happen.

For starters, snoring. Not every snorer suffers from this, but if you do notice that you’re snoring or if your partner notices, you may want to consider getting checked. They snore because the airways aren’t fully open, and the air can’t freely go through thee, causing the snoring. Regular snorers do have relaxed airways, oftentimes it may be a concern if you start to notice it happening.

Sleep apnea does disturb the sleep too, and another symptom is, of course, difficulty concentrating. that’s because exhaustion makes concentrating hard, but research does show that sleep apnea can change the chemistry of the brain t make concentration harder. People with sleep apnea have a lack of a chemical that tells them to stay calm and encourage brain function, which is why those with sleep apnea work in a heightened, frazzled sort of state that impairs the concentration.

There is also irregular breathing during sleep, lasting more than 10 seconds. These pauses are known as apneas, hence why they happen. People with this may experience this every few minutes. Sometimes, ti either sounds silent or like choking.

Morning headaches is another. that’s because the brain won’t use as much oxygen, so it’ll dilate the arteries, putting more pressure on the skull, and coupling that with disturbed sleep results in this. The headaches usually fade after a bit, once oxygen is consumed at the right amounts and it isn’t lacking anymore.

Daytime fatigue is another. Usually, they feel tired during the day, even if they got enough sleep, making it hard for people to get the sleep necessary.

Dry mouth upon waking is another symptom. Man times, the upper airway collapses or narrows, which causes the person to breathe in an irregular manner. When that’s compromised. People with that struggle with breathing through their noses, so they breathe through their mouths, drying out the saliva that’s there, and then making it dry when they wake up, causing sore throats, bad breath, and a thirst that persists too.

If you feel moody ad irritable, this might be a sign too. that’s because you’re not getting enough of the chemicals that regulate the emotions to help you calm down, so you might snap at people much more, and you may be easily angered.

Freakent waking happens too. that’s because you’re not breathing, and it oftentimes can be because you’re trying to get enough air. Many times, those with sleep apnea forget and often struggle with remembering information. Irregular breathing during sleep reduces the oxygen levels, and that impacts the supply of oxygen to the brain, and oftentimes, those who suffer from sleep apnea also feel foggy in the head too, and that can be a bit of a problem.

For many people, these signs are something of a more dangerous feat and should be checked out.
