A sudden burst of cavities

Many patients do not have cavities in their mouths but they suddenly come to know about presence of many in their next dental visit. This is mainly due to diabetes. Diabetes is a health condition which involves bad regulation of glucose in the blood. A large amount of this glucose enters into saliva and clings to the teeth, leading to the development of cavities. So, if you are person who didn’t have cavities in all those previous years but now you have suddenly come to know about the presence of many cavities on your teeth, you might be a patient of diabetes.

Teeth wearing away

One of the reasons for worn away teeth is the grinding of teeth. However, not every case of worn away teeth has grinding as the major reason. Interaction of acid with the teeth is another reason for this enamel erosion. One of the common conditions responsible for causing this erosion is the gastroesophageal reflux disease, also known as GERD. The leakage of acid into your esophagus can result in a burning sensation in your throat or chest. This condition can also result in the damage to your teeth. This condition can be treated with both over-the-counter and prescription medicines.

Gum bleeding while brushing

This one is a common condition. Gums usually bleed when you have gum disease of early stage, also known as gingivitis. If this condition is not treated in a timely manner, it can lead to more serious periodontitis. People suffering from periodontitis are more prone to other serious health disorders which might include hearth disease.

Bleeding of gums can also mean that you are brushing and/or flossing your teeth in unnecessarily harsher way.
