Most of the time, we don’t even realize how much of an impact white tooth have on our smile. Of course, this means health, happiness, invitation, and warmth, especially, since it’s part of the human condition. This is beyond both personal and social perceptions, since a contagious smile makes you feel, and you’re perceived as a total winner. This phenomenon is something which is reinforced by the spread of American culture worldwide, where a white smile is oftentimes coined as the Hollywood smile. How do you get it though, especially later on in life? The answer to that, is the whitening treatments that come from this. A child’s baby teeth are generally whiter than adult teeth, since of course, they aren’t easing as much staining foods or drinking coffee every day. With age, adult teeth become darker, and discolored teeth do cause aesthetic impairment, and of course, issues for some people. Attempts to whiten teeth have been around for centuries, and of course, everything from chewing gum to restoration treatment have been utilized. Tooth whitening by bleaching is of course, successful, conservative, and not as expensive, and of course a safer alternative with fewer side effects, which of course for the most part is very controllable.

Whitening of course is done in a few ways. External, or even vital approaches ae oftentimes beached with direct contact on there.

There is also internal means to doing this, which is where the discoloration is due to tissue death. At that point, you’ll need a root canal or other treatment in order to fully take that out.

The third approach is a modification of both of these techniques, where you can bleach all the teeth together, and this is called the inside outside bleaching. External bleaching is usually the most common type of tooth whitening, since it’s very easy for you to get from your dentist.

Usually, this is in the form of strays, or even professional bleaching and whitening.

So why do your teeth stain? Well, usually, it varies from person to person, and of course, the factors usually are more habitual than anything else usually, the wearing of teeth, the thickening of dentin due to aging, or even inflammation might cause gradual discoloration.

Aging does have a big impact on this, which is why more older adults get this than children do.  That’s because over time, the thickening of this will cause the teeth to become more yellow. After eruption too, tooth decay, various restorations, root canals, and of course, trauma, might cause internal or intrinsic discoloration.

Most of the time though, it’s due to external factors. Foods that have tannins in it, carotenes, and even smoking and chewing tobacco will affect this. The easiest way to really take care of your teeth at this point is of course, to see a dentist and get the help that you need to reduce the discoloration in your teeth. You’ll be able to reduce the staining, and make it look more and more white, and help to make you have a smile that is one that makes you happy. Whitening your teeth is a small step, but a great one for you to consider as well.
